Lunch Meeting: CLAUS NIELSEN
"Life in Motion"
Claus is Danish, based in Fuengirola, with 25+ years of international leadership behind him, across Denmark, the USA, Philippines, Canada, Singapore, Sweden and now Spain, at companies including Nokia, TATA Communications, Syniverse, KebNi and Holm Security. Today he runs his own consultancy, NordOps Consulting, CEO of Beehires and a proud new member of Rotary Club Benahavis.
"It is a personal story - the curious Danish child who took things apart to see how they worked and ended up taking the same curiosity around the world. Through seven countries, it's reflection on change, cultural understanding, international leadership and the most important lesson I have ever learned (taught to me by my Fillipina wife, Michelle): that being book smart is only half the recipe. The other half I will save for the talk".

Meet Skip & Sheila Collins
Skip and Sheila Collins have spent much of their lives serving others. They lived for 35 years in South Africa, where they moved to work with an international Non Governmental Organisation (NGO)
Later, Skip became a pastor, while Sheila managed their “Baby House”, caring for abandoned babies until they could be adopted through the South African adoption system. During those years, they cared for more than 60 babies.
Now full-time grandparents living in the United States to be close to their family, Skip and Sheila continue to embrace life with purpose and enthusiasm.
This year, Skip launched his YouTube channel, “If You’re Not Dead, You’re Not Done,” sharing reflections and practical advice on making the later years of life some of the best years yet.
Having just completed an 800 km walk along the Camino de Santiago, Skip and Sheila will join us to share their experiences of the journey and the stories they gathered along the way.
To book please contact saa@marbella-guadalmina-rotary.club.

Annual Spring Car Run
Dear Friends
The beginning of this year has been cold and wet so we were unable to plan our usual Almond Blossom Car Run. However now that the sun is shining, we decided to organise a car run Wednesday, 25th instead of our normal lunch meeting.
Although it is short notice, most of the members at our lunch meeting were happy to agree and participate. We are hoping, after the rains the sun will be shining so we should have a beautiful show of spring flowers too.
The car run will follow our usual itinerary taking us through the lovely countryside of Monda, Guaro and Tolox. We will stop for aperitivo in a beautiful location under the Mimosa trees and then return to a casual venta “Umami” for lunch.
Please send your confirmation to Pamela Lake, +44 7802 430 462
Please ensure you print and bring the itinerary with you!
