Adam Nathan will deliver a talk this week entitled “The Challenges facing journalism in the Trump Era”
Adam Nathan is a writer and consultant, who specialises in the sustainability and defence sectors.
Following the events of 9/11, as a reporter for The Sunday Times, he was stationed on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) in the North Arabian Sea as part of Operation Enduring Freedom during the Battle of Tora Bora. He was appointed Defence Correspondent from 2003 to 2005, embedding with the British Army in Iraq and covering the war in depth.
After a spell in local and national politics and European policy consultancy, following the 2014 Russian invasion of Crimea and eastern Ukraine, Adam worked for Aegis Defence Systems and served as a communications advisor to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence during the country’s first five waves of mobilisation.
From 2016-2021, amid the rise and fall of ISIS, Adam focused on delivering CVE/PVE programmes internationally for a UK defence contractor. He currently consults with government as an international media expert and advises the defence industry commercially.
